“Hey Siri brings together recent works that capture the artist’s history of information scrolling and Web consumption practices. Using personal screen shot extractions from his digital archive, Bils’s paintings reveal intimate and banal details of his online world, from the Notes App and text messages, to Instagram ads and Tik Tok videos. Linking specific parts of the digital realm with the individualization of information, the artist examines the complex and dynamic relationship between digital objects and physical space, while questioning contemporary image-making practices and their relation to their digital environment.”
